About TXT 4 HELP
TXT 4 HELP provides 24/7, free and confidential support and information over text message (SMS). We are here for youth in the United States who may need support with various issues, including abuse, domestic violence, anxiety, bullying, depression, eating disorders, body image, family problems, gender and sexual identity, grief and loss, loneliness, parenting, pregnancy and abortion, relationships, school or work issues, self-harm, sexual abuse, stress, suicide, trauma, PTSD, and more.
No matter what you’re experiencing, whether it’s a mental health crisis or just needing someone to talk to, we are here to support you for free. We are committed to preventing suicide, and if you are considering suicide or self-harm, or if you notice warning signs in a friend or family member, we can help.
When you contact us, you will talk with one of our trained and supportive counselors who have experience helping people with similar situations. They will listen with empathy and understanding, and assist you in finding a way through your situation. Our helpline is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. We are always ready to support you.
