Childline is for any young person in the UK who needs support. You don’t have to be going through something really serious to use it – they’re here for any problem, big or small.

What can you talk to Childline about?

You can talk to Childline about anything that’s on your mind. Some common topics include:

  • Feeling worried or sad
  • Being bullied
  • Problems with family or friends
  • Trouble at school
  • Feeling lonely
  • Questions about your body or eating habits
  • Feeling confused about your gender or sexuality
  • Dealing with loss
  • Thoughts of hurting yourself
  • Abuse at home

Remember, there’s no issue too small to discuss. If it matters to you, it matters to Childline.

When you contact Childline, you’ll speak with a trained counsellor or volunteer. These are people who:
